Every day brings incontrovertible evidence that what we have is not so much the product of our own making, or the privileges deserved from our misguided sense of entitlement. But rather it is the grace of God, and God alone, that extends to us blessings that we have not earned, but are given nonetheless. Knowing that our treasure is not found in the things of earth, but rather in communion with our Father, His Son and His Spirit, we give thanks today and every day.
What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?
I shall lift up the cup of salvation
And call upon the name of the Lord.
- Psalm 116:12-13
Give thanks today, with a grateful heart!
O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord,
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God
And a great King above all gods,
In whose hand are the depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, for it was He who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.
- Psalm 95:1-7
